Be Zanzibar was born not from a plan, but from a moment of love; a twisted palm tree saved from removal that inspired a dream.

In 2022, Tarek and Sultan, guided by a shared passion for connection, nature, and soulful living, began building a sanctuary in Zanzibar. What started as a family cocoon by the sea has grown into a boutique hotel rooted in warmth, community, and creativity. Every detail, from the handcrafted design to the heartfelt hospitality, reflects the spirit of the island and the people

“We just loved, loved, LOVED everything. The vibe of this place is something else - we felt it right from the front desk. We also got to hear the story about the curvy palm trees and how Be Zanzibar was created. Just amazing and truly inspiring. The entire hotel area is just beyond beautiful. The room and decor were to die for - we slept like babies. The food was incredible! We stayed at three hotels during our vacation, and we think this one had the best food. The staff were so polite and helped us with everything. Don't hesitate to ask them anything - they'll take care of it for you! Morning yoga with a view was an amazing bonus. Yes, our rates include breakfast for all guests staying in the room. The city tax is also included

Yes, our food is halal, and we offer vegetarian and vegan options (including for breakfast). These are indicated on our Restaurant Menu with small icons. Should you have any allergies or intolerances, our team will be happy to cook according to your needs :).

Of course! We have a night receptionist available to assist with late check-ins at any hour. Please inform our team in advance if you will be arriving late. We can also prepare a fruit platter for you if you're hungry when you arrive.

Yes, each room is equipped with a hairdryer, a kettle, and an ironing board.

We have universal sockets available in all rooms.

Yes, it is possible to add an extra bed, depending on the room category (to ask the Reservations). The cost is USD 70 per extra bed, including breakfast.

Airport transfers are not included in the room rate. However, we would be happy to arrange it for you. Our fixed rate is USD 60, available at any time according to your flight schedule.
